HEALTH UNIT COORDINATORPosting Date: 7-6-10 Duties: Assists nursing staff with admissions, transfers, transcription of orders, and other non-routine situations. Responsible for keeping patient records accurate and current. Files reports from other departments and facilities according to established procedures. Arranges transportation for residents for out-of-building appointments. Promotes good public relations via phone and direct interaction. Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Completion of training in unit coordinator course or equivalent experience. Knowledge of basic medical/nursing terminology. |
